Abstract

The difference in the colour gamut reproduction is determined in this study. To do it the raw materials such as the paper was selected according to the ISO 12647-2 specifications. The papers are namely gloss coated wood free paper, matt coated wood free paper and uncoated white paper. The physical and optical properties were matched with the ISO 12647-2 specifications. The solvent based inks and vegetable oil based inks were selected and their properties were studied and recorded. Profile Maker software was utilized to produce the patches to generate the gamut readings, i1Io spectrophotometer was utilized to read the printed samples, and the data was fed to the software and gamut were generated. The gamut images determined very less difference in their sizes and variations
