Driven by the buzz word “digitalization”, the study aims to develop a framework and an overview about the innovative concept of mobile-only-banking (MOB), which is in its very nascent stage in Indian banking sector. Mobile-only banking is an uprising revolution that is driven by mobile & digital communication technology. It is one of the latest innovations to hit the banking industry in India. Mobile-only banking allows you to do everything through an application downloaded on your smartphone or tabled instead of having to rely on a physical branch or a website to perform basic banking tasks. It includes all tasks starting from opening up of a new account, funding it, paying bills, checking your balance and transferring money to others. Although, the concept is not new in the developed markets, developing country like India, has not yet reaped the benefits of MOB.
