Abstract

A 2D structure based on a plasmonic lens to couple free space waves of any arbitrary wavefront into a photonic crystal (PC) waveguide is proposed and designed. The designed structure is simulated using FEM techniques. The results are obtained for free space plane waves as well as waves radiated by a point source. The method can be extended to other wave fronts also.
