Abstract

Aqueous extracts of plants of Trigonella foenum-graecum (TFG) was used as an eco-friendly green inhibitor for the corrosion control of aluminum in 0.01 M phosphoric acid medium. The study was done by potentiodynamic polarization technique and by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique at different temperatures. The result indicates that TFG is a good inhibitor. The adsorption of the TFG on the surface of the metal obeys Langmuir’s adsorption isotherm. TFG acts as anodic inhibitor in 0.01 M phosphoric acid medium, and undergoes physical adsorption on the surface of aluminum
