Abstract
Polycrystalline Zn0.80Cd0.20O thin films were deposited on glass substrates at various deposition temperatures by spray pyrolysis technique. All the deposits showed a significant dependence on the deposition temperature. A systematic study has been made on the structure, morphological and optical properties of Zn0.80Cd0.20O thin films as a function of deposition temperature. All these films had mixed hexagonal wurtzite structure with (1 0 1) orientation and cubic structure with (2 0 0) orientation. The surface morphology of spheroid structure of deposits has been noticed. The optical transmittance and energy band gap increased as a function of deposition temperature
