Abstract

Fly ash, which are generated from coal powered power plant, can have an adverse effect on environment. Use of flyash in concrete is a effective way of its disposal. This study is aimed at finding out optimal percentage of flyash replacement in order to achieve a workable and durable concrete without compromising the strength characteristics. Literature pertaining strength parameters of high volume flyash was reviewed and various parameter affecting strength such as curing days and temperature, flyash content in HVFAC, Statistical Analysis is carried out with SPSS software in order to determine the extent of influence of various factors.
