Abstract

The impact of information technology on libraries and information centres has resulted in the formation of igital libraries. Digital libraries are the need of the hour. In this paper an attempt is made to explain the necessity to build digital library. The advantages of digital libraries are also explained. The various steps to be followed in building digital library are also touched upon
