Abstract

Automobile Industry is of a strategic importance to the world’s economy. It is one of the major contributors to a country’s GDP, but despite being so important, it has its own disadvantage. Due to recent surge in this industry, there has been a significant rise in the number of vehicles on road. It poses a great threat to the environment. To overcome these problem electric vehicles were proposed as a major game changer which can help in reducing pollution without hindering anyone’s convenience. There are several key factors which have kept it away from the reach of a common man. The main aim behind this project was to assess the awareness level of the people towards Electric Vehicles and to understand their purchasing intention towards these. We took a straight forward approach in this project by directly going to the potential car buyers and tried to assess their mood. The results obtained after the analysis of data inferred the awareness level of these people towards the environment, electric vehicles and their purchasing intentions towards electric vehicles. The results showed that the positive attitude towards electric vehicles leads to positive purchase intensions of the electric vehicles
