Abstract
: This paper is presented to introduce a system constituting of a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) that is connected to the level switches which is monitoring the level of the tank. This system saves the tank from over flowing which increases the safety and efficiency. The levels are considered as an input to the PLC and the pump is controlled by the output of PLC which pumps out the solvent or any other hazardous fluids present in the tank without letting it to overflow. The introduction of Automation will increase safety and prevent dangerous accidents which can be caused by human error. This type of system can be used in various industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas, food processing etc. Almost all the production lines, Processes or machine functions can be automated using a PLC and the speed and accuracy can be enhanced by using this type of control system
