Abstract
AYUSH streams of medicine (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) have preventive,curative and promotive aspects. They are an ideal of medical pluralism and an integrated medical approach. Globalization and the revolution in information technology have resulted in an increase in the prevalence of many lifestyle disorders like hypertension, diabetes, arthritis and stress. The Indian traditional system of medicine is robustly capable of playing a vital role in coping with these manifestations. Method: Survey technique: Cross-sectional. Empirical method. Conclusion: In spite of the vast potential, very few success stories have emerged from Ayurveda. Indian philosophy preaches: Vasudeva Kutumbakam: All of mankind is one family. In line with this philosophy, all health care systems must come together to serve mankind
