Complex contemporary economic and political environments are increasingly pressurising businesses to follow environmentally conscious principles, particularly in view of the constant increase of landfill from solid waste, pollution and other environmental issues.Environmental sustainability is a key issue for the hospitality industry in terms of water, power consumption and waste production.The hotel has utilised innovation, cutting edge technology and design integration to earn new benchmarks in energy efficiency, water efficiency and low carbon techniques, and is a model of environmental stewardship. This study explores the various eco-friendly steps taken by the ITC Royal Gardenia which have worked with the most basic operations one can make difference with including design, architecture, energy, lightening, water consumption and waste management.
