Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to delineate through System Dynamics (SD) simulation the fact that good HR Management will enhance Knowledge Management (KM) which is the prime driver of innovation for the 21st century in manufacturing sectors. The approach to simulation is through the construction of Causal loop diagram, Stock & flow diagram by identification of the antecedents to innovation with manufacturing sector in focus. Finally the system parameters are varied so as to identify the critical parameters which influene innovation in manufacturing. The research has delineated the fact that, a good HR management promotes innovation and productivity through effective utilization of a KM system. This model can be readily applied into any manufacturing scenario as it considers the innovation and productivity factor and associated parameters which are common to any manufacturing organization.
