Abstract
Knowledge management is an increasingly important source of competitive advantage for organizations. Knowledge embedded in the organizations business processes and the employees skills provides the firm with unique capabilities to deliver customers with a product of service. This manuscript is an attempt to highlight the importance of knowledge management (KM) in manufacturing sectors. It starts with a general introduction to knowledge management. Then a comprehensive study of related literature in KM is discussed. Further Current and future trends in global manufacturing are highlighted . A new framework of integrating system dynamics to study the effect of individual parameters on manufacturing performance is discussed. Finally a conclusion is drawn stating the importance of the proposed methodology.
