Abstract

In the structure of the title compound, C14 H12O2S, the molecule is almost planar as evidenced by the very low values of torsion angles. The hydroxy group substituted at C16 position is in anti-periplanar conformation with respect to the phenyl ring. The crystal structure exhibits weak intramolecular hydrogen bonds of the type O�H�O.
