Abstract
Our aim is to review several shoulder abnormalities that are difficult to detect accurately on shoulder MRI, describe the technical reasons that limit their detection, and suggest imaging protocol modifications that may improve radiologists' accuracy. This article provides a brief overview of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the shoulder for the clinician. A basic review of MRI shoulder protocols is followed by a discussion of the most common imaging sequences
