Abstract

There is a great need of teaching of vacana poetry in the form of literary texts at various levels in educational institutions in the present context. The art of appreciation of literary texts, vacana poetry for example, brings to the learners an experience of identifying linguistic features with intuitions about their meanings. This article discusses how such great literary works (vacana poetry) can be exploited in the classroom situation at different levels to help students to impart intuitions in vacanas.
