We describe a 63-year old male who presented with diarrhea, weight loss, epigastric pain and was found to have cutaneous hyperpigmentation, onychodystrophy and gastric and colonic polyposis on endoscopy. Histology of a polyp from the stomach showed hyperplastic features with cystic dilatation, stromal edema and inflammatory cell infiltrates with H.pylori organisms. Histopathological examination of the colonic polyps revealed the same, confirming the diagnosis of Cronkhite- Canada syndrome (CCS). Our patient was treated with antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors and showed improvement in symptoms. To the best of our knowledge, very few cases have been reported in the literature documenting an association between CCS and H.pylori infection.
