Abstract

Steganography is the art and science of covert communication in content such as image, video and audio. This paper deals with achieving steganography using transform domain technique, in particular, using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). The technique is improved version of our earlier work “high quality technique for image steganography using discrete wavelet transform”. The secret information and the key are hidden in cover image. The key is encrypted and lossless compressed before hiding in the cover image. This improves both capacity and security. The stego image is perceptually similar to the cover image. This is proved by good Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) of the stego image.
