Abstract

The article focuses on the survey which evaluates some strategies to cope up with stress and have a quality of life (QOL) condition in institutionalized and non-institutionalized older people in Kerala, India. Socio-demographic technique, stress rating scale and the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL) questionnaire are the methods used in the survey. The institutionalized elder persons have experienced more stresses and lived less QOL compared to non-institutionalized ones.
