Abstract
Nature of deployment in a sensor network varies with application and cost. It has influence on the operation and performance. Sensors though are cost effective still cannot be used generously. Optimal number of sensors is essential for long running life of the sensor network. Various deployment strategies are studied and a deployment strategy is brought up so that the sensors can be deployed efficiently occupying as much area as possible and lasting for a longer interval of time.
