Abstract
Now-a-days internet is growing in such a way that small and big companies are moving their business (which includes goods and services) online to grow their revenues. Internet commerce or e-commerce is increasing the financial and commercial transactions online which lead to the increase in cybercrimes. Most customers and consumers consider security features as critical factors to business online, and information security is a necessity to guard the online businesses which relies on encryption to secure the data and its transmission. The paper will explore public key encryption methods and its impact on e-Commerce, discussing the application and implementation on this field along with its strengths and weaknesses, followed by an analysis of established trends such as Public Key Infrastructure in e-commerce to enhance security
