Abstract

Death due to myocardial infarction in elderly individuals (above 40 years) with high BMI is encountered more often. When it comes to younger individuals,the contributory causes like sedentry life style, obesity, lack of exercise, habitual alcohol, cigarette consumption and a higher body mass index (BMI) enhances hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus and coronary arteriosclerosis. We present a case where a 38years old male, having a BMI of 16.89, was found to have died of myocardial infarction following coronary arteriosclerosis.
